Happy St. Patrick's Day!

We celebrated in style on Friday!  We practiced our math skills with St. Patrick's Day-themed math centers.  Students traveled around the room and participated in activities such as:

counting all the reasons why they are "luckier than a leprechaun"!

adding 3 numbers (first person to completely cover their board is the winner!)

using concepts of probability (Don't cover the 1!  It's impossible to roll a 1 with 2 dice!) 

Predicting how many Lucky Charms they can fit in their hand

(Travis was the closest - only 1 off!)

Sorting 2-digit subtraction problems based on whether they need regrouping

At the end of the day, we rewarded ourselves for all of the hard work by enjoying Leprechaun Floats (Sprite and lime sherbet)!
