Reading Comprehension

Here is a link to a wonderful article about reading comprehension.  As I tell the kids, the whole point of reading is to remember what we've read.  How many times I've been fooled by the student with perfect fluency... only to find out later that there was no comprehension behind it!  While being able to read fluently is important, the most important aspect of reading, in my opinion, is comprehension and higher-level understanding.
