Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  Last Wednesday, we participated in a couple of fun activities to celebrate the holiday.

First up:  We made pumpkin pie!

After enjoying our snack, we headed to Mrs. Gentry's fifth grade class for buddy games.  All of the Super Smart Second Graders were paired with a fifth grade buddy for games and activities.

Poetry Reading

Last week, students practiced reading poems from the book You Read to Me, I'll Read to You.  Check out our performances!

Homework Hall of Fame

On Monday, we celebrated October's Homework Hall of Famers.  These students turned in EVERY homework assignment on time!  We celebrated by having a special lunch in the classroom - complete with ice-cream sundaes!

Congratulations, McKenna, Faith, Madelyn and Bailey!

Congratulations Hunter and Connor B.!

Congratulations Gavin, Connor S., and Cayden!

Red Ribbon Week

Last week, we celebrated Red Ribbon Week.  We learned about the harmful effects of drugs and talked about all the different reasons why we are all going to stay drug-free.

We had dress-up days each week!  Nearly EVERYONE participated everyday!  Way to go, Super Smart Second Graders!
