We FINALLY went to school!

The polar vortex is hitting us hard!  We've had 4 snow/cold days since Christmas break!  You would think it would be hard to stay in the learning groove with so many interruptions, but today we came back from our (second in a row) extended weekend and rocked it!

We measured our arm spans in math.  We used the data to make a frequency table and a line plot.

We practiced our keyboarding skills in the computer lab.

We researched deserts in science.

There's more learning in store tomorrow!

We can now....

...multiply and divide!!

These are pictures of us playing Array Top-It, which helps us develop our multiplication and division skills!  How cool!

Happy New Year!

After an extended winter break, we have had a wonderful start to the second semester of second grade!  I cannot believe how fast the school year is flying by.  Tomorrow is our half-way point:  88 days down, 88 to go!

We started 2014 by reflecting on 2013 and setting goals for ourselves.  We made mobiles to hang in the hallway!  Are your resolutions still on track?
