Last Friday, we went on our first trip out of school! Animals is a huge science and literary unit for second graders, so we capped off our year of learning with a trip to see
Chimpanzees at AMC Showplace 12! Before the show, we stopped at Centennial Park to play and for a picnic lunch. It was a cool, breezy morning, but I don't think the students minded! I tried to get pictures, but I couldn't get anyone to stand still long enough!
When everyone was too hungry to play anymore, I was able to snap this one!
The reviews are in and the movie is a blockbuster! Our favorite moments were when baby Oscar was adopted by the group's male leader and when Oscar's group defeated Scar's enemy group to reclaim their territory!
